Bhutan News Service is the first news agency in Bhutan. Formed in 2006 in exile, we are a team of young and dynamic journalists. Around five dozens journalists contribute news to this source. This has become a news source for the Bhutanese citizens, donor agencies and friends of Bhutan.

As a news agency formed in exile, Bhutan News Service doesn’t have a fixed postal address. Though operated from Kathmandu, it is not legally registered since Nepalese laws do not entertain registration for any foreign organizations.
We hope to grow this site into one of the largest news media reporting on Bhutan, the Bhutanese Diaspora and the related aspects.
