According to news received quite late from New Zealand, a Bhutanese recently resettled in Palmerston North suburb of the county has been found hanging on January 15.
Late Kumar Pradhan had been in Palmerston just four months but had arrived New Zealand in late August last year. Friends and relatives remember him of a friendly person but of silent nature and short temper. The incidence is thought to have occurred in the night but the family found him dead only in the morning.
Born in Kalikhola of Dagana district, Pradhan was forced to leave the country with his family when he was still a child. The family stayed at Maidhar initially and moved to Bhutanese refugee camp Bendangi II.
A good football player of his age, Pradhan had not pursued his studies. Here, he had been attending ESOL classes at English Teaching College (ETC). Last went to his class was on January 13.
‘I like this country and is a beautiful place to live here”, he had told his brother Gopal one day while meeting him at Mangere and had hinted that he should have got married before moving to this country.
According to community organisation’s chairman Sudarshan Adhikari, the Bhutanese community really got organised in short period of time to manage for his funeral the next day.

It is a tragic death. May his soul rest in peace. Our deep condolence go to the Pradhan family.
Please ignore previous comment because spelling of soul is incorrect.

There is no effect in praying for the peace of the departed soul that “departed” by committing suicide. A murderer may repent and change to saintliness but those committing suicide are worse than the murderers because they do not give themselves second chance!
If any would attain peace after departing from this life by committing suicide, every suicide bombers would be doubly victorious: once on earth and again in the heaven. But this is not the case for them that chose death over life. Woe to the man that took himself to his end! It would be a different tale if he chose to die in belief for some cause, enduring grief inflicted on him by others for this cause…

Oh my dear God. This is so awful to have to read here. I can only imagine the perils this young man has experienced in his too short life. The choice he made must leave relatives and friends devastated. My heart goes out to all who have known and loved him and I can only hope that somehow he will have found the peace that he obviously has not been able to find during his troublesome life.
It is hard to understand others who condemn this human being who took his life for doing so. The only thing I can feel is deep sorrow with him and is soul. Please let it be so that the community forms a safe ring around his relatives and will be able to remember the good things that he in his life has brought to his loved ones.
I wish him to rest in peace and with respect for his life.

“A good football player of his age, Pradhan had not pursued his studies”..This sentence make to think about BNS before reading any news. I strongly recommend this trustworthy news site to be more trust worthy. The each sentence give different sense to people. Here I mean this sentence is wrong. He is neither good football player nor discontinued his education. He is my neighbor and student too.
So be more trustworthy and research before publishing any news
Thanks
Feel free to email me if you think I am saying wrong!!

Hey Yishai Take your philosophy and shove it where the sun does not shine. S*upid idiot! No one wants you to pray for anyone because prayers from opinionated idiots like you are not worth a nickel. Save your grandiosity for when your own family member strangles himself to death. I really hope someone in your family does, so you would learn a lesson.
Freaking idiot! And would bhutannewsonline think twice before approving garbage like this Yishai’s comment? I understand fairness and freedom of speech but I think there is something to be said for propriety and sensitivity in situations like this.

hey guys,
yishai’s ideas and thought seems logic. what is wrong if one is discouraging suicide………..

Its shameful to Mr/Ms. Yishai to pour feelings which can certainly hurt the family, and relatives of late pradhan. In reality,no one knows the nature of death, and its absolutely non-sense to write like this! Any way, death is death. We should not forget,”WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND”…

You have all the rights to be sad and express your sincere feelings about this incident. Soothing words of well wishers might encourage the living relatives to find comfort at the great loss that will definitely not help the dead which according to report was chosen by the victim (of himself). To this part I sympathize with your feelings.
Praying for the rest of the dead’s soul is vain and definitely futile exercise. It is worse than crying over the spilt milk. Heaven will not take any responsibility for them who chose dying over living for any cause that brought it when it is inflicted on the self. It would be a different case if that was inflicted by others and suffered, for some good cause. Even the ignorant folks in remote villages tell the tales of people that turn into PRETAS after their untimely death.
Things will not become good by our saying good about them. We have to understand the nature and tell good or bad according to the nature of the things rather than trying to build false notion for deceitful comfort. The living has to remain informed/warned about inflicting death on self and avoid such actions. Please do not encourage SUICIDE by praying for the rest of the soul that is in the dungeon with the devil!

Sincere thanks to Mr/Ms Yishai for your vision. But, its the matter of common sense of any one to know how it happened, and what triggered Mr. Pradhan to take this option of death. Its the responsibility of us to prevent such actions in future. Any how, he’s no more , and praying for his departed soul can’t other people to do like him. And if you pray for his soul, it may not cost expensive lol! I am not fully satisfied with Yishai’s last sentence above!
