Beldangi: An unidentified group has attacked Tashi Sherpa, 35, of Sector F/1-87 under Beldangi-I camp at around 1 am today morning while he was asleep.

Armed Police Force (APF) in Beldangi-I camp informed the BNS that the group attacked Laxmi Sherpa, spouse of Tashi and fled from the scene.

Laxmi, who sustained serious injuries from the sharp weapon, is undergoing medical treatment.

APF source further informed that a sharp knife was recovered from the spot. According to the source, further investigation was under way.

An unidentified group had warned Tashi on December 22 through a posturing not to opt for third country resettlement.  

Talking to BNS, Tashi has urged the authorities concerned to help him manage security in camps. “I am feeling unsecured to live in camps”, Tashi said.
