The second large group of exiled Bhutanese getting resettled overseas arrived here in the Netherlands on March 31.
TB Gurung and DP Mainali were there to receive them with tulip flowers in the Dutch way.
‘I feel as if I am in Kathmandu’ said PS Gurung, who was there with almost all of his family members including those who arrived in the Netherlands years earlier. ‘The feeling of unity with love and care for each other made our travel very enjoyable’ he said.
The entire groups of 31 people were then brought to a transition centre in Amersfoort. They were greeted by the first group of Lhosthampas who arrived a month earlier. The weather was sunny and all of them felt as though they are in the camps in Jhapa, where they lived for 18 years hoping to return to their home in Bhutan.
The Bhutanese refugee’s who could arrive in The Netherlands are in advantage in sustenance. During the transition period they are well paid, maintained and educated to integrate in the Dutch society. They will also be given family loan to maintain their homes besides social security. In addition, they may not need to pay their travel cost like those who opts for America.

Who is Nanda Gutam. Is refugee people know him very well?
Is he came in amerfoot to meet us.how can we measure him? Is he knowimg the feeling of refugee problem. Now here ( natherland) he wants to became super hero
by thworing his name to the refugee people. it is a wrong way. In past did he work for refugee people in camp.Are you right person to give information. Judge your shelf.

It is a pleasure to read the news of resettled bhutanese in Holland,
But we are little confused of your introduction.may we know your
real introduction so that we may know you and your camp, which makes
us easy to give further information to different media in Jhapa and
morang.As we have never heard of your name earlier in any seven camps.
Other thing is in the previous group the total people were 33 but we
could read only 30 in the news given by you.So it makes us confussed.
Without the right information we think it covers negative impact to
the people living here and gives no value reading it.
we believe in news, so cover the right news through the right person.

You might be feeling guilty when you see their innocent faces, whom you accused always as terrorist and ngolop. you were rewarded for your anti refugee stand by the king and i am afraid if you are still working for him. Nice reporting by Nanda Gautam. But is this same nandalal gautam who was deadly against southern Bhutanese when they were demanding justice during during 1990s? If he is the same person let him stay quite and contented with what he has now. He will be great trouble if he started reporting again for the same people whom he reported from BBS years back. Enough has already being done by him and bhutanese from refugees camps can not tolerate any more from him. Gautam mind your own business.

These reaction of this website is promoting more hatred than peace among the Bhutanese people. If someone wants to point out against others one has to be conscious of the consequences and the background to what you have assumed as true. Bhutanese refugees who have access to media and internet have always tried to promote their ownself or accuse others falsely. I don’t think the news of the resettlement should not be written by gautam whoever he may be because if you are better than him then you should have reported by yourself too. One should not blame people who are inside Bhutan or left from there directly to other countries because we do not know under what situation they are living. Just imagine about the circumstance of your own family member who is if still there in Bhuitan. Are we not one? Those who reacted with blashpheming words above should also explain what was their contribution. We all need to develop unity, forget the past and see eachother as one family. should we not learn to behave as civilized human beings then the circumstances of the eighteen years of stay in Jhapa shall have same effect everywhere. Unless someone has inflicted a loss on you personally then you can have your say, otherwise it appears yourself as something undesirable.

Bishnu,I totally agree with you that only those people in Bhutan know how they survived during the tough time of 1990s.They were looked down by suspicion and harassed at every step. I suppose 17 years of suffering have made us very bitter.Now that we are being resettled in the land of opportunities we must be happy and look at the World positively. We need to do soul searching and embrace peace for the greater good of the future generation of Bhotangeys. Lets give peace a chance.

I am totally in support of Bishnu.We need people like you.I want all bhutanese to underrstand in your way.See hoe people in Holland blame eachother.They have personal interest.For small interest they bring big things in media.People in holand think themself as great.it is not good to blame eachother for stupid reason and personal causes.All bhutanese know who is who??? so plz give such habits.Correct yourself first.Dont think yourself as great as all know you.And i suggest dont support one blindly and dont oppose othere blindly.First understand people and go ahead.

Actually the people who are in holland influenced by political motives are actually blaming others with disguise names because the nature of politics is to subdue others in whatever way possible and rise up from the cost of innocent people. They are going to ruin everyones existence in the same way they did in jhapa and escaped from persecution to holland. If peace shuld get a chance such unscrupulous political [..] must be trained first.

All the fake names supporting Gautam sir are his own discuise. All the fakes names used pointing Gautam as a stupid person are used either by Ram Karki sir or someone like him. They want to defame one another.
But both of these people, may be good but are no more useful “sada gaya, gir gaya”.

The above mentioned arguments show that we Bhutanese people ourself dig hole for us only.Bossness behaviour of the people lead us to this stage.Now they see different things and behaviour of western people so it is the right time to cultivate good habit otherwise we may again fall in danger.

sathi heru please learn a good lesson from the past and dont indulge in building up the same tradition carried by forefathers and prepare to write a new history which is worth for the future generation to be proud to read the good deeds done by us .
