I really don’t like to degrade anyone; however I find it so hard to recognize people who have almost destroyed a section of Bhutanese people’s lives by their insensible and totally unreasonable actions for their own benefits to be receiving exceptions and status of high level dignitaries. The so called leaders of the so called democratic movement of Bhutan should be ashamed of themselves for harming thousands of innocent people’s lives of Southern Bhutan in the name of human rights, democratic movement, and fight for justice.
It is extremely important to struggle for human rights, democracy and social justice however only if it is for common good. These, some of the so called leaders are totally uninformed and illiterate in the fields of politics and diplomacy. If we objectively evaluate their achievements in last 17/18 years it is near to ZERO. Many of them of course have acquired properties in Nepal, Sikkim, India, travelled around the world to attend the money making conferences and managed to move to western world (if not themselves, their family members) while the innocent refugees continue to suffer.
As for Mr. Gazmere’s arrest, isn’t he highly educated, travelled widely, diplomat, fighter of the rights, whatever-whatever; shouldn’t he have at least enquired about the status of his travel????
I have no problem with just an individual Ratan Gazmere, but to be titled where title is not due is the problem. What about Rizal? I wonder if he would go to the Home Minister if is I was in the similar situation?
Sincerely
Oh My God
